Don's garden is growing well. He has three separate garden plots in areas around his camp, making the best use of areas that will get full sun but be enough off the pathway to be safe for the plants to grow and not be trampled. His tomatoes are looking good. Tiny bell peppers beginning to grow.
The beans are flowering. We went by Keith's camp to visit him and Baby Girl. She's getting big. Derek takes a photo of Baby Girl who's learning to sit for treats (in Don's hand on the left). She seems intrigued by the camera! ;)
We drive to another homeless camp, sit down and visit with friends, and then... I hear a train! Derek and I walk (run?) up to this great place to watch trains. Derek and I watch trains at a spot not far from where some homeless friends camp. I love the sounds of the train. When you hold on to the rail that Derek is holding, you can feel the vibration.
Here comes another one! Happyyyyy..... (An Amtrak came flying along behind the train beside me while I watched. Blisss...) Train, train, train to the horizon...
And now the tank cars... (I checked the UN numbers and back at the camp, looked them up on my BlackBerry. They were carrying Ethyl Alcohol.) Tank cars to the left and the right, as far as I could see, in both directions. I love long trains. Especially when the cars all match like that. Symmetry. And now the hopper cars... And the white and black cars at the end down there were the end of the train. Back to the camp to see my friends. :)
